About the Role

Our client, a global manufacturer of specialized electrical equipment, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Test Engineer for their facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This key role involves the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive testing procedures and protocols for a wide range of electrical products. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance with international standards through rigorous testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical principles, experience with test automation, and exceptional analytical skills. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop test plans, procedures, and specifications for electrical products.
- Set up and operate electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and function generators.
- Develop automated test scripts and systems using relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW).
- Conduct functional, performance, and environmental testing of electrical components and systems.
- Analyze test data, identify root causes of failures, and provide detailed reports with recommended solutions.
- Collaborate with R&D; and production teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues identified during testing.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISO)



and quality management systems.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Mentor junior test engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing methodologies.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing and validation, preferably in product development.
- Proficiency with electrical test instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with test automation software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and component behavior.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and product certification processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in the Northern Cape facility.
