Overview

Panasonic Canada Inc. is currently looking to hire for the position of Salesforce Developer.

Designs, develops, and supports Salesforce solutions that enhance business processes, system performance, and the overall user experience. Collaborates with business stakeholders, administrators, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce configurations and custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, integrations, and other platform capabilities. Supports enterprise integrations, testing, deployments, release management, and change control activities to ensure system reliability and the successful delivery of enhancements.

Focuses on platform optimization through performance monitoring, data quality management, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. Serves as a technical resource for complex Salesforce issues, providing support and guidance to users and administrators. Assists in the creation of technical documentation, knowledge articles, and training materials, while ensuring all solutions comply with Salesforce security standards, governance policies, and development best practices. Continuously identifies opportunities to improve platform functionality, efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

This is a contract role for 12 months.

This position is hybrid. Any office-based work will be performed from our Mississauga office at Ambler Drive and occasional attendance is required at our Niagara-on-the-Lake office.

Responsibilities





WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Collaborates with business stakeholders, Salesforce Administrators, and technical teams to gather requirements and design scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Develops and configures Salesforce functionality using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, approval processes, custom objects, and validation rules.
- Supports and enhances Experience Cloud solutions to improve user experience and business processes.
- Applies declarative and programmatic development approaches in accordance with Salesforce best practices and standards.
- Develops and supports integrations between Salesforce and internal/external systems to ensure reliable data exchange and business continuity.
- Executes and supports unit, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), including the creation and maintenance of Apex test classes.
- Supports release management activities, including packaging, deployment automation, change promotion, production releases, and post-deployment validation.
- Maintains platform security and compliance through role hierarchies, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, field-level security, object-level security, and secure coding practices.
- Monitors platform performance, data integrity, automation effectiveness, integrations, and governor limits; supports data imports, exports, migrations, deduplication,



and quality initiatives.
- Serves as an escalation point for complex Salesforce issues, provides technical guidance and documentation, supports user adoption and training, evaluates recent platform capabilities, and provides backup support to the Salesforce Administrator.

Qualifications

MUST-HAVES:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of Salesforce solution delivery experience supporting medium-to-large, complex projects, including 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development experience.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II certification is considered an asset.
- Additional required Salesforce certifications include Salesforce Certified Administrator and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
- Strong functional and technical expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce CPQ, with proficiency in Salesforce configuration and platform capabilities.
- Advanced experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, SOQL/SOSL, triggers, custom objects, validation rules, and platform configuration.
- Experience evaluating business requirements, troubleshooting complex issues, and designing scalable, secure, maintainable Salesforce solutions using both declarative and custom development approaches.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, end users, administrators, project managers, and technical teams; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio required. Experience with Marketing Cloud, Mul
