The Department Head provides leadership and guidance for department programs within a Catholic environment. The position connects curriculum design with Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations and Ministry guidelines. It also supports accountability for student achievement and school improvement planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead implementation of Religious Education department programs
- Facilitate cooperation with other departments
- Coordinate communication between administration and department members
- Ensure Ministry and Board curriculum requirements are met

Requirements:

- Intermediate and Senior Religious Education qualifications
- Honour Specialist qualification in Religious Education
- Minimum five years teaching in the secondary panel
- Understanding of current secondary education priorities
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative leadership skills
