About the Role

Our client, a leading producer and distributor of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), is seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee their operations in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This critical role involves managing the end-to-end operational processes, including production, warehousing, and distribution, to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of FMCG operations, supply chain management, and possess strong leadership capabilities to manage and motivate large teams. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and direct all day-to-day operations, including production, inventory management, and distribution for the region.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Manage and mentor a team of operational staff and supervisors, fostering a performance-driven culture.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain best practices in warehousing and logistics.
- Manage operational budgets, forecast resource needs,



and ensure effective cost control.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, with a significant focus on the FMCG sector.
- Proven experience in managing complex supply chains and distribution networks.
- Robust knowledge of production processes, inventory control, and warehousing best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and operational management software.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid role, balancing strategic planning with operational oversight.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and cost reductions.
