Project Manager – Industrial RefrigerationPrairie HVAC/R | An IR Pros Company — Winnipeg, MBPosition SummaryPrairie HVAC/R and Electrical Services, part of the IR Pros family of companies, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of industrial refrigeration projects. The Project Manager will ensure the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration equipment, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and provide technical expertise to clients.
This role is responsible for coordinating and communicating with team members, clients, and vendors throughout the full project lifecycle — from planning through completion.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and manage all aspects of industrial refrigeration projectsDevelop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource requirementsConduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plansCommunicate project goals, objectives, and progress to team members, clients, and vendorsCoordinate and schedule project activities, including equipment installation, maintenance, and repairEnsure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policiesManage project budgets, expenses, and invoicingMaintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, schedules, and budgetsProvide technical expertise to clients and recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system efficiencyCollaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and managementParticipate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledgeQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, project management,



or a related field preferred5+ years of experience in project management of industrial refrigeration systemsKnowledge of complex ammonia refrigeration systems and safety regulationsStrong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource managementExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsBasic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft OfficeValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordPreferred ExperienceExperience with any of the following is a plus:Ammonia (NH₃) or CO₂ refrigeration systemsIndustrial refrigeration construction and installation projectsPSM / RMP-regulated facilitiesSystem startup and commissioningManaging multiple concurrent projects and crewsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for a Project Manager who understands that successful projects depend on more than schedules and budgets — they depend on safety, clear communication, and strong relationships with clients, vendors, and field teams.
