Deliver emergency care in Calgary using acute assessment and procedural skills. This full time position includes rotating days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

The Physician Assistant supports the Calgary Corridor Department of Emergency Medicine across four urban emergency departments. The role includes diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, minor trauma care, surgical concerns, and progressive responsibility. Initial practice occurs in Fast Track before broader emergency presentations and higher-acuity care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess undifferentiated acute medical, trauma, and surgical presentations
- Perform histories, examinations, ECGs, laboratory, and point-of-care testing
- Provide eye assessments, fracture care, casting, and wound repair




- Document in Connect Care and coordinate referrals and handovers
- Support students through bedside instruction and procedural demonstration

Requirements:

- Graduate of an accredited Canadian or U.S. Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible CPSA Physician Assistant registration
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Commitment to developing emergency procedural competencies
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
