Practice full-spectrum General Internal Medicine at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, with Intensive Care and Coronary Care capabilities.

This permanent specialty position serves a 45,000-population referral base through the Division of Internal Medicine. In office capabilities include cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function, and 24-hour monitoring. An outpatient practice opportunity is also available through the Alberni Internal Medicine clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide full-spectrum General Internal Medicine care
- Deliver Intensive Care and Coronary Care capabilities
- Support inpatient medical responsibility and on-call services
- Participate in outpatient practice through the AIM clinic
- Teach and supervise medical learners when eligible

Requirements:

- Eligibility for FRCPC in Internal Medicine
- Eligibility for provisional or full British Columbia licensure
- USA certification in Internal Medicine
- Faculty appointment eligibility with UBC for teaching
