Lead multidisciplinary transit design from Stantec’s GTA team, applying technical coordination and delivery expertise across major rail projects. This full-time role is based in Markham.

As Senior Design Manager, you will lead transportation infrastructure design from preliminary engineering through handover. The work spans track, civil, structures, stations, systems, utilities, drainage, and geotechnical disciplines. You will coordinate design teams, contractors, owners, and public agencies across traditional and cooperative contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead integrated design for large multidisciplinary transit and rail projects
- Manage design teams, subconsultants, deliverables, quality, and BIM plans
- Control design scope, schedule, budget, forecasts, risks, and opportunities
- Coordinate interfaces with contractors,



owners, systems providers, and third parties
- Progress staged submissions through reviews, checking, and construction support

Requirements:

- Civil Engineering degree or related discipline
- 10+ years’ transportation infrastructure design experience
- Professional Engineers Ontario licensure or ability to obtain it
- Design Manager or Design Lead experience on major delivery models
- Knowledge of Metrolinx, MTO, municipal, or AREMA standards
