If the nomination is successful, then the salary will be at least $60,000 CAD per year. All nominees will also be considered automatically for a PIMS-Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship, which provides additional salary support to selected outstanding candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews in November. Candidates selected for nomination will then be directed to submit their application to PIMS for the second stage of the process before December 1, 2026. Informal inquiries can be made by e-mail to Peter Dukes ([email protected]), Natasha Morrison ([email protected])

and Jonathan Noel ([email protected]).
The University of Victoria has a thriving Discrete Mathematics Group, with an active community of faculty, adjunct professors, postdoctoral fellows, graduate and undergraduate research students, and a weekly seminar. We strongly value the experiences and qualities that people from diverse backgrounds bring to the group. As such, we particularly encourage applications from members of groups underrepresented in mathematics.
