The Nurse Practitioner works in a health care institution, facility, clinic, or private practice. Responsibilities include examining patients, taking medical histories, evaluating physical and mental health, and consulting physicians and other practitioners. The role also includes diagnostic testing, treatment, and health education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members
- Advise patients on health care
- Examine patients and take medical histories
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and diagnostic procedures
- Prescribe treatment and provide health maintenance education

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree
- Provincial or territorial Nurse Practitioner licensure
- English language ability
- Experience considered an asset
- Criminal record check
