Overview The Truck Driver
- Class 1 transports freight safely and reliably, supporting timely deliveries and smooth day-to-day operations. This role involves vehicle operation, freight handling, and coordination with colleagues to keep shipments moving. Responsibilities
- Operate a truck on assigned routes and transport freight with care, following applicable road and workplace safety practices.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, report concerns, and perform basic automotive repair or maintenance tasks as appropriate.
- Load, unload, and secure freight; use a forklift or other heavy equipment when needed and appropriate.
- Communicate delivery updates, document shipment details, and coordinate with colleagues to address delays or handling issues. Qualifications Required:



Practical commercial driving capability, safe freight handling, attention to detail, and clear communication are significant for completing deliveries and reporting vehicle or shipment concerns. Preferred: Experience with forklift operation, heavy equipment, or automotive repair is valuable and can support efficient loading, equipment use, and basic vehicle upkeep.
