About the role
Moto Shutz runs an automated filling and packaging line for engine oils and lubricants at our Etobicoke facility, and we are looking for someone to own it. This is not a button-pushing job. You will be responsible for keeping the line running, keeping the product in spec, and making sure what goes in the bottle is exactly what the label says. If you understand lubricants at a chemical level and like being hands-on with equipment, this role is for you. What you will do
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the oil filling line (filling, capping, labelling, case packing)
- Perform product changeovers between grades and viscosities, including line flushing and contamination control
- Run in-process QC: viscosity, density, appearance, flash point, and water content, and verify results against product specs
- Manage bulk oil and additive receiving, tank transfers, and batch traceability
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues and coordinate with maintenance when needed
- Maintain batch records, SDS files, and compliance documentation
- Enforce safe handling of petroleum products and chemicals under WHMIS 2015 What we need
- Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering,



or Chemical Technology
- 3+ years in lubricant, petrochemical, or liquid chemical manufacturing or packaging
- Solid understanding of base oils, additive packages, viscosity grades (SAE/ISO), and how contamination or mixing errors affect product quality
- Experience with lab QC methods (ASTM test methods for lubricants a strong plus)
- Comfortable with filling equipment, pumps, flow meters, and basic PLC/HMI operation
- WHMIS 2015 certified; forklift licence an asset
- Able to lift 25 kg and work on your feet in a plant environment Nice to have
- Experience with API/ILSAC spec oils or private-label blending
- GMP or ISO 9001 environment experience
- Preventive maintenance background
