Job overview We are looking for a caring, reliable Medical Office Assistant to join our team. Our focus is providing excellent patient care, treating every patient with respect, and communicating clearly and compassionately. This is a full-time position, 32–40 hours per week, starting at $20 per hour. Pay reviews are scheduled regularly during the first year and annually thereafter. No previous experience or formal qualifications are required; on-the-job training is provided. Benefits include two weeks of paid sick leave per year, calculated according to usual weekly hours, 4% vacation pay, Christmas/year-end bonus, and a healthcare reimbursement plan. Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls, assist with enquiries, and book appointments.
- Welcome patients and coordinate patient flow within the clinic.
- Prepare examination rooms for doctors and patients.
- Monitor supplies and place stock orders.
- Maintain accurate patient records and handle confidential information carefully.
- Support day-to-day front desk and office tasks.



Additional responsibilities will be tailored to your strengths, interests, and the team’s needs, with training and guidance from the clinic owners. These may include billing, bookkeeping, workflow coordination, EMR data management, and other administrative duties. Qualifications
- Clear, respectful communication and a caring approach to patients.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle records accurately, maintain patient confidentiality, and support front desk tasks.
