Support children in the water as a Float4Life Instructor with Easterseals Florida, combining aquatic instruction, family communication, and safety awareness.
This part time position provides one-on-one Float4Life lessons at indoor and outdoor pool locations. The instructor works with young children, including those with special needs, while supporting water safety and skill development. Duties include service coordination, milestone documentation, and maintaining a hazard-free instructional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one Float4Life lessons for children and families
- Support children physically during extended water instruction
- Communicate with families about progress and water safety
- Record services using iPads, computers,
and documentation systems
- Check equipment and complete basic pool upkeep
Requirements:
- Previous aquatic instruction or therapy experience
- Float4Life Certification or willingness to obtain after hire
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder or sensory needs
- Ability to kneel, crouch, reach, and move safely pools
- Ability to work in water up to five hours
