Responsibilities

- Able and capable of training Associates how to be more proficient in their job duties and requirements, to set the standard for maximum performance
- Proficient at implementing the best and safest way to get the job done
- Conduct meetings, briefings to leads and floor staff regarding newly implemented procedures.
- Monitor workload and direct resources accordingly
- Proactively carry out all issues which are necessary to achieve shipping and receiving objectives
- Queue management to ensure picking/packing and staging of all materials
- Ability to use RF Gun
- Proactive communication skills
- High level of organization
- Team orientated approach to tasks with great follow through
- Read, understand, and follow Vallen's health, safety, and setting policies and all applicable OH&S; legislation/regulations




- Actively participate in Vallen's health and safety management system, including training, audits, assessments, safety meetings, and inspections
- Identify, control, and report workplace hazards including following WHMIS/TDG requirements and reporting near misses
- Report workplace injuries immediately and participate in any return-to-work programs or requirements
- Be fit for duty and physically capable of performing all required tasks
- Other duties as required

Requirements

Education and Training:

- High School Diploma required.
- First Aid Certification preferred
- WHMIS Certification preferred
- Forklift Certification preferred
