Bring licensed practical nursing skills to VON Canada’s Visiting Nursing program in Nova Scotia through part-time home and community care. Work days, evenings, and weekends with autonomy.

This temporary, part time Licensed Practical Nurse position is scheduled for 60 bi-weekly hours, with an anticipated end date of October 2027. Provide holistic, person-centred care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and families. Practice to full scope across clients’ homes, clinics, virtual services, and community outreach while collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete client assessments in community care settings
- Provide primary care with healthcare professionals
- Administer medications and provide wound care




- Support chronic disease management, including diabetes education
- Deliver rehabilitative and palliative care

Requirements:

- Hold a Licensed Practical Nurse licence in the practice province
- Bring community health experience as an asset
- Enjoy driving with a valid driver’s licence
- Access a reliable vehicle for client visits
- Provide satisfactory Vulnerable Sector and Child Abuse Registry checks
