About the Role

Our client, a cutting-edge firm at the forefront of aerodynamic research and development, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is pivotal for driving innovation in fluid flow analysis across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, and energy. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and applying advanced CFD models to solve complex fluid mechanics problems, optimize designs, and predict performance. This position offers the ultimate flexibility to work from anywhere, collaborating with a global team of experts through state-of-the-art digital platforms. We are looking for an individual with a deep theoretical understanding of fluid dynamics, extensive practical experience with CFD software, and a proven ability to deliver insightful analysis and actionable recommendations. Your expertise will directly influence the design and performance of groundbreaking products and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, set up, and execute complex CFD simulations for various flow regimes and conditions. Perform pre-processing (geometry cleanup, meshing) and post-processing (data analysis, visualization) of CFD models. Validate CFD models against experimental data and established theoretical principles. Analyze simulation results to provide critical insights into fluid flow behavior, heat transfer, and aerodynamic performance. Collaborate with mechanical and design engineers to interpret results and recommend design optimizations.

Develop and implement advanced meshing strategies and turbulence models. Automate CFD workflows and post-processing tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python). Stay current with the latest advancements in CFD methodologies, software, and hardware. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the distributed team. Requirements

Master's or Ph.
D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on fluid dynamics. Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in applying CFD to solve engineering problems. Expert proficiency in commercial CFD software packages (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM). Strong theoretical understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and numerical methods. Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments for large-scale simulations. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or scripting interfaces within CFD software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings clearly. Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate remotely. Perks

This fully remote position offers exceptional flexibility and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects from any location. Our client provides a competitive salary, performance incentives, and access to advanced computational resources and software licenses. Continuous learning and professional development are encouraged. Join a world-class team pushing the boundaries of aerodynamic and fluid simulation.
