Imagine Everything

Canada

At Imagine Everything, we're rethinking how technology serves K–12 education. Since 2018, we've partnered with school districts to build innovative, affordable software that solves real problems for educators, administrators, students, and families.

We're a team of developers, designers, and creative thinkers who believe excellent ideas deserve great execution.

We're collaborative, ambitious, occasionally unconventional, and genuinely enjoy what we do.

We've built something we're proud of. Now we need someone to take our story to a much larger audience and own the plan for getting there.

We're hiring a Director of Marketing to build and lead our marketing efforts: strategy, plan, budget, and results. You'll decide where we compete and how we earn attention across Canadian and U.S. K–12 markets, then help do the work to get there.

We want someone who has broken into new markets before, knows what to do with little guidance, and is at home writing copy and launching campaigns on their own.

What You'll Do

You'll own marketing at Imagine Everything, from market strategy through to qualified sales opportunities and revenue.

You'll report to our CEO, contribute to leadership planning and growth decisions, and work closely with our COO, Founder, Creative Director, and sales team.

This is a player-coach role.

You'll set the plan and do much of the work yourself, from strategy through to the finished campaign, starting with a small team and a lean budget.

As results come in, you'll help us build marketing capacity: make the case for the people you need, hire them, and lead them.

Your responsibilities will include

- Set the marketing strategy. Build an annual marketing plan tied to company growth targets, with clear priorities, budget, and measures. Then turn it into the campaigns, content, and calendar that deliver it. Decide where we compete, who we target, and what we stop doing.
- Own positioning and messaging. Define how our platform and each product are positioned for superintendents, IT directors, and educators, and write the messaging that sales, creative, and leadership use to tell the same story.
- Lead our expansion into new markets. Build the go-to-market plan for priority U.S. states and Canadian provinces: where we go first, how we enter, and when a dedicated account manager makes sense. Then run the campaigns that get us there.
- Own our digital presence. Lead ongoing website refreshes and maintenance, and drive search and AI visibility (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.), plus paid campaigns, so school district decision-makers find our products when researching solutions.
- You'll own the strategy, messaging, and content,

and work with our creative team on design, build, and technical SEO.
- Build a content engine. Write, publish, and collaborate with our team to produce articles, case studies, and thought leadership on a steady schedule, so Imagine Everything remains a trusted voice in K–12 technology across North America.
- Generate qualified leads. Design, build, and optimize the funnels, campaigns, and nurture programs that turn attention into qualified pipeline across organic search, paid advertising, email, social media, events, and partners.
- Own the budget. Allocate marketing spend across channels, run the campaigns it pays for, report on what it returns, and move money toward what works.
- Earn media attention. Build relationships with journalists, publications, associations, and industry leaders, and write the pitches. Turn our customer stories and expertise into coverage, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.
- Make events an investment. Set our annual conference and trade show strategy. Decide where we show up and why, then plan and promote our presence with clear objectives, lead capture, follow-up, and return.
- Connect marketing to sales. Agree on lead definitions, handoffs, and shared targets with our sales team, so sales can stay focused on building relationships and closing deals.
- Build marketing capacity. Set the marketing hiring roadmap, decide which roles come first, and develop the people you bring on, while staying close to the work yourself.
- Measure Everything that matters. Build the dashboards and reporting that connect marketing investment to pipeline, acquisition cost, win rates, and revenue, and present them to leadership and our board.
- Experiment relentlessly. Test ideas, recognize what isn't working, pivot quickly, and scale what delivers results.

Who We're Looking For

You're a leader who has built something from an early stage and can show the results. You set direction and are hands-on, from the plan through to the finished campaign.

You bring

- 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, including at least 3 years owning marketing strategy, budget, and results while doing the hands-on work yourself.
- A track record of breaking into new markets or segments,

where you drove the work end to end and can point to the pipeline and revenue it produced.
- Experience marketing to public-sector buyers or through long sales cycles with many decision-makers.
- Hands-on experience across modern demand generation: SEO (content and technical), AI discovery platforms, paid media, marketing automation, CRM, and campaign attribution.
- Experience building and managing a marketing budget, and making clear calls on where to invest and where to stop spending.
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technology into clear messages for district leaders and educators.
- Experience hiring and developing marketers, or a clear view of how you'd build a team starting from one person.
- Proficiency using AI tools to work faster, with a high bar for checking and editing what they produce so the finished work reads as if it came from a person.
- Working knowledge of CASL, CAN-SPAM, and the privacy expectations that come with marketing to public institutions, plus the care to write accurately about sensitive topics like online student safety.
- The presence to represent Imagine Everything with media, partners, and executive-level decision-makers.

A record of success in EdTech or K–12 is a strong advantage, as is familiarity with U.S. K–12 procurement. SaaS experience helps, and we'll weigh results in education and public-sector markets most heavily.

Most importantly, you lead by doing.

You can build the plan, defend it with numbers, and build deliverable campaigns while the team around you takes shape.

Why Imagine Everything?

You'll join our leadership conversations, build a function from the ground up, and have the freedom to experiment with new ideas.

We're a fun, creative team doing work that matters to schools, students, and families. We're fully remote, offer unlimited paid time off and health benefits, and get together in person a few times a year.

As marketing grows here, you'll build and lead the team behind it.

We value curiosity, initiative, smart risks, healthy debate, and people who challenge the status quo. We celebrate wins, learn from failures, and believe that making a mistake while pursuing a great idea beats doing nothing at all.

We expect some ideas to miss. What matters is finding out quickly, learning something, and moving on.

If you've built a marketing engine before, love seeing your work turn into business results, and want to help take a growing Canadian technology company across North America, we'd love to hear from you.

Show us what you've built, what it achieved, and what you'd tackle first here.
