This nine-month contract suits an experienced underwriting leader guiding small business solutions and an underwriting team. You will evaluate, document, select, negotiate, and price assigned policies. The work also emphasizes coaching, customer service, operational leadership, and collaboration with Actuarial and Claims Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customize solutions for commercial small business clients
- Guide and coach a team of underwriters
- Evaluate, document, select, negotiate, and price policies
- Develop qualified broker and customer relationships
- Maintain broker communication through calls, emails, and meetings

Requirements:

- Ten or more years of P&C; underwriting experience
- Technical, senior, or informal leadership experience
- Small business experience considered an asset
- Experience overseeing change management
- Completed or pursuing CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations
