As a Senior Software Engineer on the Tax team, you will create production systems supporting cost basis, gain/loss, withholding, and reporting. Your work spans Consumer & Business products, legal entities, and recent launches. You will own complex systems from design through operation while translating ambiguous requirements into shipped solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design backend systems for cost basis and gain/loss calculations
- Automate withholding and tax reporting infrastructure
- Build broker reporting and clearing integration pipelines
- Develop extensible primitives for new product launches
- Conduct reviews and provide technical mentorship
Requirements:
- Six-plus years building and operating backend production systems
- Strong distributed systems and high-throughput pipeline fundamentals
- Experience owning complex systems end-to-end
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into shipped solutions
- Responsible generative AI use with human oversight
