We are looking for a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join our professional team as a Rental Mechanic in a full time capacity at our High Prairie location. This position will report to the Branch Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, inspections, and general repairs on a variety of rental equipment and tools
- Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine-related issues
- Complete oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and other preventative maintenance tasks
- Inspect, test, and prepare equipment to ensure it is safe, functional, and ready for rental
- Identify equipment requiring more advanced repairs and communicate concerns to management
- Assist with mechanical repairs and maintenance under the guidance of more experienced mechanics or qualified technicians when required
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of maintenance and repairs completed
- Assist with identifying and ordering parts and supplies from vendors and suppliers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist with on-site service calls, equipment inspections, and minor repairs as required
- Demonstrate proper equipment operation and provide basic operating instructions to customers when necessary




- Complete all maintenance and repair activities safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Participate in the branch on-call schedule and work overtime as required
- Promote a positive company image through excellent customer service and professionalism
- Assist with general branch operations and equipment preparation when required
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Valid Class 3 or 5 Alberta Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Physically fit and able to lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to follow verbal directions as well as written company and safety procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Can work together with a team and provide each other support
- Safety requirements: First Aid, TDG, H2S would be an asset
