Lead strategic communications for the Town of Oakville, using corporate communications, media relations, and public engagement expertise across diverse municipal clients.

As a Senior Communications Advisor, you will advise Town departments while developing and implementing internal and external communications plans. Your work will support reputation management, crisis communications, social media, marketing, and community-focused initiatives. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Communications, you will provide senior-level counsel and communication support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop custom communications plans for departmental initiatives
- Write media briefs, releases, web content, and newsletters
- Manage collateral projects, budgets, approvals, and vendors
- Coordinate media inquiries, opportunities,



and in office support
- Advise clients on public engagement and marketing opportunities

Requirements:

- University degree, diploma, or certificate in communications or related field
- Minimum five years of relevant communications experience
- Expertise in strategic planning, media relations, and public engagement
- Exceptional writing and editorial skills
- Experience collaborating with senior staff and Members of Council
