About the Role

Our client, a reputable retail establishment, is seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to support the store operations in Kimberley. This role is instrumental in assisting the Store Manager with day-to-day operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, customer service, and staff management.
- Supervise and coach store associates to ensure high performance and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to achieving store sales targets through effective sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and conducting regular stock takes.
- Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to merchandising standards.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.




- Assist with staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including loss prevention measures.
- Support the Store Manager in training and developing new and existing staff members.
- Act as the acting Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a retail supervisory or assistant management role.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent leadership and team-building abilities.
- Good understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required for the Kimberley store.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in business or retail management is a plus.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
