As BD Manager for our API product line, you’ll own the end-to-end sales cycle for CoinMarketCap’s data API offerings. You’ll work with exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech apps, data aggregators, and institutional clients to help them leverage CMC’s market-leading crypto data through our API solutions.

Own the full sales cycle for CMC’s API products — from prospecting and demo to close and expansion

Identify and engage new API customers across exchanges, DeFi protocols, fintech platforms, data aggregators, and institutional/TradFi firms

Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified API opportunities, tracking progress and forecasting revenue

Understand client data needs and propose the right API tier, endpoints,



and integration approach

Serve as the primary point of contact between API clients and internal teams (product, engineering, support) for onboarding and issue resolution

Stay current on competitor API offerings, pricing, and market trends to sharpen CMC’s positioning

3+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally selling API/data/SaaS products

- Strong network within the crypto industry — exchanges, DeFi, fintech, or institutional crypto
- Solid understanding of APIs, data products, and how technical buyers evaluate them
- Fluency in English (native level); additional languages are a bonus
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels
- Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first workplace
- BS/BA in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field

Experience selling crypto market data or financial data APIs specifically

Existing relationships with exchanges, trading desks, or institutional crypto firms

Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
