I'm Sean. I'm an adult living in Mississauga looking for a mature, experienced companion/support person to spend a few hours with me, a few times a week.
I deal with panic attacks and anxiety, mostly at home, and I'm looking for someone calm and steady to be around when it hits — and good company the rest of the time. This is companionship and support, not medical care and not personal care.
What the time together looks like:
Mostly in-home: relaxed company — conversation, tea or coffee, TV, cards, just having a steady person in the house
Being there during panic episodes: it peaks, it passes, and I just need someone patient and unflappable in the room while it does
Light help while you're here is welcome (making tea, a simple meal) but the job is your presence, not housework
An occasional short outing could happen, but it's not the job — home is the job
Schedule: a few hours per session, 2-3 times a week,
flexible — we'll set a rhythm that works for both of us.
Who I'm looking for:
An older, experienced caregiver/companion (PSW, support worker, retired nurse, or similar background welcome)
Real experience supporting someone with anxiety or panic attacks is a strong asset
Patient, warm, and calm under pressure — the temperament matters more than the tasks
References and a vulnerable sector check appreciated
Pay: $25/hour, paid after each session or weekly — open to discussing a steady weekly arrangement for the right person.
If you're a calm presence who genuinely enjoys helping someone feel steady at home, I'd like to hear from you. Tell me a bit about your experience.
(Part time, Live-Out)
For day (on weekend, nurse-attendant)
