Apply electrical fundamentals and control wiring experience as a full-time Test Technician with IEM Canada in Surrey, BC. Support secure product testing.

Working in IEM Canada’s Switchgear department, you will support functional testing of custom electrical distribution and power quality equipment. The position requires electrical schematic interpretation, wiring and mechanical skills, basic computer functions, and careful documentation. You will assist qualified personnel with checkout, energized testing, visual inspections, Hi-Pot, Ductor, and continuity testing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Position and connect equipment before testing
- Perform wire checks and visual inspections
- Assist technicians with checkout and functional testing




- Document results in appropriate job folders
- Set up barriers, signs, PPE, and energized-testing staging

Requirements:

- High school diploma, GED, or higher education
- Minimum one year of control wiring experience
- Understanding of electrical principles and safety
- Ability to read and apply electrical schematics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
