Support resident wellbeing at Eastholme as an Activity Aide using recreational programming, restorative care, and strong interpersonal skills. Scheduled shifts include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Reporting to the Director, Recreation, Therapy & Volunteer Services, the Activity Aide plans and implements activities for Eastholme residents. Programs encourage socialization, entertainment, relaxation, fulfillment, and daily living skills. The role also supports the Activities Coordinator and works with volunteers, families, staff, and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct spiritual, social, recreational, and entertainment programs
- Assist with restorative care programs and activity assessments
- Maintain calendars, bulletin boards, records, and resident reports




- Gather data for care planning and surveys
- Promote secure practices and resident confidentiality

Requirements:

- Diploma or degree in recreation, kinesiology, or related field
- Knowledge of long-term care and older adults
- Excellent interpersonal and conversation skills
- Smart Serve Certificate required
- Ontario driver’s license and vulnerable sector check
