BD Diesel Performance is hiring a Level I Converter Technician for its Transmission Department. You will tear down, clean, machine, assemble, balance, pressure test, and paint torque converters. The work includes specialized equipment, measurement tools, quality checks, and preventive maintenance. Senior technicians or a supervisor provide close direction and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inspect torque converter cores for wear, damage, and defects
- Machine components using an engine lathe
- Assemble converters with tools, jigs, and fixtures
- Pressure test completed converters for leaks




- Balance converters and flex plates using specialized equipment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in technical skill development
- Comfort with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Basic measurement, inspection, math, and problem-solving skills
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
