PTW, a Calgary industrial and commercial contractor, is hiring skilled Structural Steel Fitters. This position focuses on heavy metal preparation, layout, detailing, and final-stage installation. You will contribute to customized self-frame, rigid frame, and pre-engineered building solutions while maintaining compliant work areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay out and detail heavy metal components to specification
- Set up metalworking equipment for fabrication tasks
- Use torches, grinders, drills, and punches safely
- Fit and torch cut fabricated structural components
- Safely rig and move materials in work areas
Requirements:
- One or more years of commercial or industrial experience
- Attention to detail across fitting and fabrication tasks
- Safety awareness when rigging and moving materials
- Welding courses are considered assets
- Red Seal certification is considered an asset
