Maintain critical hospital infrastructure at Humber River Health as a Mechanical Room Mechanic supporting HVAC and building systems. This is casual work in Finch with rotating shifts.

This Mechanical Room Mechanic maintains and repairs Legacy Site hospital equipment and systems. The work includes steam boilers, compressors, generators, air conditioning, HVAC units, pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems. You will document readings, perform chemical tests, complete rounds, and support routine repairs throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain boilers, compressors, generators, and HVAC equipment
- Inspect, install, repair, and replace pipes and fittings
- Record equipment readings in log books, databases, and rounds cards
- Perform chemical tests and apply required system chemicals
- Complete mechanical room,



kitchen, operating room, and after-hours maintenance

Requirements:

- Graduate of Building Environmental Systems, facilities, or industrial maintenance program
- Previous large-institution experience with HVAC and infrastructure equipment
- Healthcare hospital experience with Med Gas and Life Safety systems preferred
- Fourth class stationary engineer certification considered an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written instructions
