Operated by Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada, The Clayfield delivers a highly personalized, refined guest experience grounded in calm luxury, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of place.The Financial Controller is responsible for the overall financial management and accounting operations of The Clayfield, including its independently operated food and beverage business, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and transparency across both operations. Reporting to the General Manager, this role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls, while working collaboratively with hotel leadership, ownership, and operating partners to support sound financial decision‑making and overall business performance.This position will appeal to a detail‑oriented finance leader who values ownership, structure, and the chance to play a key role in the financial success of a dynamic luxury hospitality operation.What You’ll DoSupport all pre-opening financial setup, including systems, chart of accounts, banking structure, and financial workflowsOversee all hotel and food and beverage accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll coordination, general ledger, and financial reportingPrepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets, maintaining accurate and transparent P&L; reportingLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, ensuring alignment with hotel operations and ownership expectationsAct as a key business partner to the General Manager and department leaders, providing financial insight to support operational decision‑makingEstablish and enforce internal controls, policies,
