Overview

We are looking for a creative and experienced Social Media Manager & Content Creator to support a junk removal business based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

We are looking for the following specific requirements

- Proven experience in social media content creation, video editing, and creative strategy.
- Practical experience creating short-form videos and social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Ability to produce visually compelling content that aligns with a brand’s identity, target audience, and business objectives.
- Understanding of organic social media content and paid advertising creative requirements.
- Ability to work with raw video footage, B-roll, and existing creative assets to produce polished content.
- Familiarity with social media content performance, audience engagement, and creative optimization.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work the agreed part-time schedule following Pacific Time.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

1. Video Editing & Creative Content Production

- Produce high-quality, engaging short-form videos using CapCut, Edits, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other professional editing tools.
- Transform existing B-roll footage, raw videos, and creative assets into polished social media content.
- Develop unique, visually compelling videos that stand out from generic, template-based social media content.
- Incorporate engaging transitions, captions, sound effects, music, motion graphics, and other creative elements.




- Repurpose existing footage into multiple content variations for different platforms and campaigns.

2. Social Media Strategy & Organic Content

- Develop and recommend creative content ideas aligned with 220 JUNK’s brand, target audience, and business objectives.
- Plan and create organic social media content designed to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
- Recommend posting schedules, content pillars, and platform-specific strategies.
- Review previous social media content to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on social media trends, viral content formats, and creative best practices.

3. Paid Advertising Content & Creative Testing

- Design compelling video advertisements focused on generating inquiries, leads, and conversions.
- Develop and test different video hooks, opening sequences, calls to action, and creative concepts.
- Create multiple ad variations using existing footage to support creative testing and campaign optimization.
- Analyze previous advertising creatives and identify elements that can be improved or replicated.
- Collaborate with the client on creative strategies to improve advertising performance.
- Apply an understanding of the difference between organic content designed for engagement and paid advertising designed for conversions.

4. Content Management & Performance Optimization

- Organize and maintain a library of video footage, edited content, and creative assets.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the company’s branding, messaging, and quality standards.
- Monitor content performance and recommend improvements based on engagement and conversion metrics.
- Provide regular updates on content production, completed deliverables, and creative recommendations.
- Respond promptly to client feedback and implement revisions efficiently.
