About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing company based in Kimberley , is seeking an innovative Industrial Engineer to join their team, focusing on process design and development. This role is vital for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing new manufacturing processes and improving existing ones to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will leverage their engineering expertise to develop state-of-the‑art production systems and ensure seamless integration into the operational framework. Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop new manufacturing processes and systems to meet product specifications and production goals.
- Analyze and optimize existing production lines for improved efficiency, reduced waste, and enhanced quality.
- Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to model and test process designs before implementation.
- Develop detailed process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with R&D;, design, and production teams to ensure effective process implementation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses for proposed process changes and recent technologies.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and tools to optimize workflow and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.




- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent production output.
- Ensure all process designs comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements in Kimberley .
- Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and industrial engineering best practices.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on process design, development, and optimization.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., Arena, Simul8).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
- Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa .
