Turn school and community assets into recreation programming as a full time Recreation Coordinator serving Minahik Waskahigan Elementary School.

This temporary position continues until March 31, 2027, under the Northern Community & School Recreation Coordinator Program. The coordinator facilitates sport, recreation, and culture opportunities after school, during evenings and weekends, and alongside special events. Local knowledge and relevant experience may support candidates without the minimum diploma.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate sport, recreation, and culture opportunities
- Develop programming through school and community assets
- Deliver programs after school, evenings, and weekends
- Coordinate programming with special community and school events




- Support opportunities involving community volunteers

Requirements:

- Two-year diploma in recreation, leisure studies, or equivalent
- Relevant experience and skills may be considered
- Sport, culture, and recreation programming experience
- Volunteer work experience and community understanding
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
