Our client is a leading shoring and underground contractor delivering key support on major infrastructure, transit and tunnelling projects across Ontario. They're looking for an experienced Shoring Superintendent to lead field operations on complex, deep-excavation projects.What you'll do:Lead all on-site shoring operations, including soldier pile and lagging, sheet piling, caissons, secant/tangent pile walls and tieback/anchor installationPlan and manage daily work, crews, subcontractors, equipment and materials to keep projects on schedule and budgetRead and interpret shoring drawings, engineered designs and specifications, and coordinate with design engineers on field changesOversee drilling, piling and crane operations, making sure work is installed to design and toleranceChampion site safety and ensure full compliance with OHSA and Ontario Regulations including excavation and trenching requirementsMonitor ground conditions, groundwater and adjacent structures, and respond quickly to unforeseen site conditionsCoordinate with project managers, GCs, owners and inspectors, and attend site and progress meetingsKeep accurate daily reports, installation records,



timesheets and QA/QC documentationMentor foremen and crews and build a strong, secure and productive site cultureWhat you bring:8+ years of experience in shoring, piling, foundations or deep excavation, with at least 3 years in a superintendent or senior foreman roleHands-on knowledge of shoring systems, drilling rigs, pile driving and tieback installationStrong understanding of geotechnical conditions and their impact on excavation supportProven ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors on fast-paced urban or infrastructure sitesConfident reading engineered drawings and working closely with design teamsSolid knowledge of OHSA and Ontario construction safety regulationsWorking at Heights, WHMIS, and Supervisor Health & Safety Awareness trainingStrong communication, problem-solving and leadership skillsValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across OntarioAll candidates will be screened by the job poster and those with the relevant experience will be contacted.#J-18808-Ljbffr
