MEC is opening its newest Whistler store and hiring full time, part time, and Flex Advisors. You will ask thoughtful questions, share gear advice, and connect members with products for camping, cycling, packs, and other outdoor activities. As a founding team member, you will help shape the store culture and support the local outdoor community. The work includes member service, inventory organization, visual merchandising, and learning recent product technology and sustainability features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect members with products matching their needs
- Ask open-ended questions about members' outdoor plans
- Share gear knowledge and personal recommendations
- Organize inventory and maintain store presentation
- Promote MEC events and services
Requirements:
- Passion for outdoor activities and gear
- Customer-focused, outgoing, and welcoming approach
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk 10,000 steps daily
- Collaborative, hands-on, and inclusive team mindset
- Previous retail experience is helpful but not required
