Facilities maintenance expertise keeps Covenant House Vancouver’s youth-serving buildings protected. Work Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., supporting equipment and property upkeep.

As Shift Engineer, you report to the Facilities Supervisor and address repairs across Covenant House Vancouver. Apply mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting, and general facility maintenance experience. Your work supports reliable building operations for youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Respond to repair requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and facility equipment
- Repair plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, flooring, and wood trim




- Document daily activities and communicate issues between shifts
- Maintain life safety systems and assist with fire alarm testing

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of maintenance experience
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
