Use therapeutic recreation skills to plan engaging programs for residents as a Recreation Aide with West Coast Seniors Housing Management. Support dignity and participation.

This position reports to the Therapeutic Recreation Manager, Recreation Manager, or designate. You will assist with program research, development, implementation, and evaluation across recreation and leisure services. Responsibilities also include supporting residents, volunteers, families, and external groups while maintaining confidentiality, safety, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and evaluating recreation services
- Publicize established programs and resident activities
- Guide volunteers and assist with their evaluation




- Encourage residents to participate or volunteer
- Maintain statistical records using Activity Pro or Point Click Care

Requirements:

- Health Care Aide with Recreation or Activity Certificate acceptable
- Experience in a seniors-focused environment an asset
- Dementia course an asset
- Food Secure Level 1 Certificate an asset
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
