Valard Construction seeks new apprentices and Levels One through Four progressing toward a Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate. You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution facilities while gaining apprenticeship hours. The work reports to a Construction Foreman and includes operating line trucks and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with Journeyperson Technicians toward certificate hours
- Climb poles and work near energized circuits
- Maintain poles, towers, and guy wires
- Splice, solder,



and insulate distribution conductors
- Install underground facilities and pole hardware

Requirements:

- Ontario Powerline Technician Apprentice enrollment
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Drivers Abstract
- Willingness to work away and diverse shifts
- Knowledge of trade safety practices and requirements
- Willingness to join CUSW at unionized worksites
