Python validation engineering internship in Ottawa supports data acquisition, measurement analysis, and test automation for high-speed optical products.
As a 12–16-month student intern, you will support Semtech’s Signal Integrity Products group. You will work with local and remote product development teams. The internship provides exposure to leading-edge test and measurement tools and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop data acquisition suites for R&D; prototype characterization
- Create measurement analysis techniques for device specification compliance
- Build software and hardware for prototype measurements
- Design utilities supporting IC verification and characterization
- Participate actively in product development teams
Requirements:
- Python programming and automation coding familiarity
- Hardware and software debugging skills
- Data acquisition experience with automated laboratory equipment
- RF and high-speed digital measurement skills above 10Gbps
- Ability to start an internship in May 2027
