### Who you are
- 5+ years of industry software development experience, including shipping user-facing products
- Strong frontend engineering: accessible interfaces, well-structured application state, fast interactions, and thoughtful loading, empty, error, and recovery states
- Full-stack capability: design useful APIs, reason about data models and queries, implement authorization behavior, and debug production issues. Your deepest expertise may be frontend; you can own work across layers and collaborate with specialists when needed
- Strong product sense and judgment: understand customer needs, identify the right problems, and make thoughtful tradeoffs about priorities, scope, quality, and speed, including knowing what not to build
- Strong product taste: you shape how a product works, not just how it looks. You can rethink complex workflows, choose sensible defaults, and make the right actions feel obvious
- Clear communication and independent judgment through ambiguity, with the curiosity to learn unfamiliar systems and collaborate across disciplines
- Bonus: Identity, authentication, authorization, or enterprise integrations, including SAML, OIDC, or SCIM
- Bonus: Experience building desktop applications or device-management workflows
- Bonus: B2B SaaS, developer tools, or employee and administrator products, especially experience building an early-stage product with its first customers ### What the job involves
- We're looking for a frontend-leaning Product Engineer with strong product sense, judgment, and taste to help shape and build Passport
- With Passport, accessing your work apps is as straightforward as unlocking your device, instead of battling one sign-in prompt after another. You’ll build the experiences that make that seamless,
while giving administrators clear control over access
- You'll help decide what gets built and carry it through to production. Working directly with customers, you'll turn complex identity and device workflows into clear employee and administrator experiences, with hands-on engineering across the stack
- You’ll work in an AI-native engineering environment, using AI tools to prototype, build, and iterate while maintaining a high bar for product quality and technical correctness
- Work directly with customers, solutions engineering, and go-to-market teammates to understand their identity and device setups, identify friction, and prioritize focused improvements
- Build onboarding and access-management experiences that help employees get started and administrators confidently manage access
- Own features from implementation through release and iteration, making pragmatic technical tradeoffs that balance maintainability with momentum
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and security engineers to make complex access workflows simple and secure
- Help shape how AI agents access company tools, working with adjacent product teams to make connections and configuration understandable ### Benefits
