In this job, you will:
Prepare and deliver the course using Quebec curriculum/modules.
Develop, administer, and mark exams.
Evaluate students through the completion of the program.
Communicate details about attendance and student progress to administration.
Maintain the safety of the teaching workplace.
The Cree School Board is looking for candidates who:

Experienced in teaching, training, and/or presenting information.
Interested in working in a beautiful, serene Northern Indigenous community and support Cree capacity building.
The Northern Building Maintenance (program code 5702) is an 1320-hour vocational program. The teacher will be responsible for teaching and evaluating all required competencies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma of vocational studies (DVS) in Northern Building Maintenance or hold a degree or a diploma from an accredited college in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is needed.
Proficiency in English is mandatory
Knowledge of French is an asset.
Knowledge of Cree is an asset.
Valid qualifications for teaching in Quebec are a definite asset
