At Mr. Sushi, our Cooks (Line Cook & Food Preparation) play an key role in preparing delicious, high-quality meals for our customers. You'll be responsible for both food preparation and cooking during service, ensuring every dish meets our standards for quality, consistency, and presentation. Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, portioning meats and seafood, and making sauces
Cook and plate a variety of Japanese dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Handle customer orders efficiently during lunch and dinner service
Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
Keep cooking stations clean, organized, and well-stocked
Monitor ingredient levels and assist with inventory management and proper food storage
Work closely with kitchen and sushi staff to ensure smooth daily operations
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards

What We're Looking For
Minimum of 1 year experience as a cook or line cook required
Experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset,



but not required
Able to handle both food preparation and cooking duties
Reliable, hardworking, and positive attitude
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg)
Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and procedures
