Maintain thermal plant equipment and refrigeration systems as a Stationary Engine Mechanic at McGill University’s Ferrier Building in Montreal.

Reporting to the manager or designated replacement, this permanent, full time position supports the Powerhouse Unit at the Downtown Campus. The work covers equipment maintenance, repairs, and daily servicing of air conditioning and refrigeration machines in the plant.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain equipment and instruments related to assigned activities
Repair equipment and instruments related to assigned activities
Perform daily maintenance on air conditioning machines
Perform daily maintenance on refrigeration machines
Work with required personal protective equipment in designated areas

Requirements:
Hold a second class steam certificate
Hold a B refrigeration fixed machinery mechanic certificate
Certificates must be issued by Régie du Bâtiment du Québec
Be authorized to work in Canada
Be willing to work in Quebec
