Hoop Forward Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate Youth Basketball Coach to join our coaching team in Richmond, BC.

You’ll be working with children ages 6–12, helping them develop basketball fundamentals, confidence, teamwork, and a love for the game.

This is a collaborative coaching position where you’ll work alongside other coaches to deliver engaging, structured, and fun basketball training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
Coach basketball classes for children ages 6–12.
Teach fundamental skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing, and footwork.
Work collaboratively with other coaches to plan and deliver training sessions.
Create a fun, protected, and encouraging workplace.
Help players develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
Adapt coaching techniques to different ages and skill levels.

Qualifications
Previous basketball playing or coaching experience.
Experience working with children is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, energetic, responsible, and dependable.




Ability to work effectively as part of a coaching team.
Female applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Flexible scheduling: Availability for multiple weekdays is preferred. Applicants do not need to be available all five days.
Location: Richmond, BC (in person)
