We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide in-home occupational therapy services to children and their families. This is a part-time contract prospect with the flexibility to add additional hours as caseload availability increases.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, values family-centred care, and is comfortable providing individualized therapy services in home and community settings.
Duties
Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for pediatric clients in their homes.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on each child's needs.
Address areas such as sensory processing and regulation, fine motor skills, handwriting, gross motor coordination, self-care, and functional participation.
Provide caregivers with strategies and recommendations to support skill development at home.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports.
Communicate and collaborate with families and other professionals involved in the child's care.
Manage scheduling and travel between client homes as required.
Requirements
Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and clinical reasoning skills.
Comfortable working independently and providing services in clients' homes.
A reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence are required, as travel between client homes is an essential part of the role.
Professional liability insurance and other requirements applicable to independent contract practice.
