BEAM Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in Markham, Ontario. As our pharmacy continues to grow, including our expanding veterinary pharmacy services through BEAM Pets, we are looking for a Full time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team.

This position involves a variety of day-to-day pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication preparation, customer service, inventory management, and general pharmacy support. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, tech-savvy, eager to learn, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Fluency in spoken Mandarin and English is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with prescription processing, data entry, and insurance billing using Kroll pharmacy software
Prepare, count, label, and package medications for pharmacist verification
Assist customers with prescription drop-offs, pickups, and general inquiries
Answer phone calls and provide professional customer service
Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
Prepare prescription orders for pickup, delivery, and shipping
Maintain a clean, organized,



and effective pharmacy workspace
Perform other general pharmacy duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:
Fluent in spoken Mandarin and English (mandatory) — must be comfortable communicating professionally with patients and customers in both languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers, digital tools.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
Ability to work independently after training and collaboratively as part of a team

Assets:
Previous experience working in a community or retail pharmacy
Experience with Kroll pharmacy software.
Fluent or conversational in Cantonese

Pay: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, negotiable based on relevant experience and qualifications.
