Comfort of Living is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and building operations for our Retirement Residence in Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance for the property
Respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting and general repairs
Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers
Complete routine building, safety and equipment inspections
Maintain maintenance records, service logs and preventative maintenance schedules
Support fire safety, emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance
Oversee seasonal property needs including snow removal, landscaping and exterior maintenance
Assist with suite turnover, renovations and building improvement projects
Ensure the property remains safe, clean and well maintained
Qualifications
Previous building maintenance, facilities or property management experience
Solid knowledge of general building systems and repairs
Experience coordinating contractors and vendors
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working independently
Good communication and customer-service skills
Experience in retirement living, seniors housing, multi-residential or healthcare environments is an asset
Valid driver’s licence preferred
