Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to support construction and sitework projects. This hands-on role combines operating heavy equipment with general labour duties to help crews complete work safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
Work may involve preparing and maintaining job sites, moving materials, assisting with excavation or paving activities, and coordinating with other crew members.
Candidates with experience on Caterpillar equipment, commercial driving, or specialized construction equipment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and graders, as assigned.
Perform labouring tasks, including site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and assisting equipment operators and construction crews.
Support excavation, grading, paving, and horizontal drilling work as project needs require.




Complete routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance; report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
Follow site plans, instructions, traffic controls, and established safety procedures.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to keep projects on schedule and maintain an orderly work area.

Experience
Previous construction experience and heavy equipment operation experience are preferred.
Experience with dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, or grader operation is an asset.
Familiarity with gravel pit stripping
Mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify basic equipment issues are beneficial.
Applicants should be safety-conscious, reliable, and comfortable performing physical labour outdoors and working as part of a crew.

Pay: $22.51-$40.81 per hour
