We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience. Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce their server
Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
Manage the waitlist during peak periods and provide accurate wait-time estimates
Bus and clean tables as needed
Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, takeout orders, delivery orders, and guest inquiries
Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
Process retail beer store sales in accordance with company policies and regulations
Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
Work with Managers, the kitchen, and the rest of the host team to ensure successful services.
Requirements
Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
Previous hosting experience is considered an asset
Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills
Strong guest-service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations
Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations
Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Robust problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
